Coming back home from College, having handed in the PhD draft, I was met by a congratulating Giuliana and a bottle of Champagne!
We then packed and had a 15 min fondue dinner before we headed off to London City Airport. Great airport, but you have to wear a suit if you want to feel like one of the crowd. We tried to compensate by pretending that we were still drinking Champagne, but, as we found, looking scruffy and tipsy, rather than just scruffy, doesn’t bring you any closer to classy.
After one hour transit time in Amsterdam, we finally made it onto our flight to Singapore. Whoo!
